The Acrisure Amphitheater Now Has an Official Song!
We are all excited about the new concert and entertainment venue downtown, The Acrisure Amphitheater. It looks stunning and is attracting huge new singers and performers to Grand Rapids.
It officially open in two weeks, Friday May 15 with mega star Lionel Richie. Along with Lionel will be the Grammy nominated husband and wife duo, War & Treaty. But that's not all. West Michigan's own Brian Vander Ark, best known as lead singer for the Verve Pipe, will help open the show up.

But, there is something else unique about the amphitheater. It now has its own official theme song!
You'll have to admit that not too many buildings, venues, have a song written about them, but ours does. It was written by acclaimed composer Hugo Bombardier and performed by student musicians from the Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Symphony Orchestra.
It's beautiful. Take a listen!
Commissioned by the Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority (CAA) who wanted to capture the spirit and vision of Acrisure Amphitheater.
The over 60 GVSU student musicians were in a two-day studio recording session at The Creative Lab, and knocked it out of the park.
How do you describe this piece the GVSU Symphony Orchestra recorded? Assume it is a classical piece with multiple musical styles, country, Latin, rock, and hip-hop.
The composer, Hugo "Montecristo" Bombardier, is a Music Director, Composer, and Lyricist, currently based in Los Angeles. He has worked on five different Cirque du Soleil shows in addition to projects with Disney, Vallarta Adventures, and the Dallas Mavericks.
Bravo!
