West Michiganders, the votes are in, and we now know where you can get the best burger in all of West Michigan.

How West Michigan Voted for Its Favorite Burger Spot

We asked for your nominations, put together a list of the top-nominated spots across the area, and then put them up for a vote.

After collecting nearly 10,000 votes (9,716, to be exact), the winner is clear, but it wasn't a battle that was won easily.

Throughout the entire voting period, the leader changed multiple times. After the first few days, the top two contenders became abundantly clear. After a hard-fought battle on both sides, one burger spot emerged victorious. (I'll be honest, for a minute there, I thought it might end in a tie.)

Hamburger Mikey! Hamburger Mikey has two locations in West Michigan: one in Muskegon and one in Spring Lake. This is a spot that I've been hearing about for years.

While this contest was just about the burgers (which all look incredible, by the way), their entire menu looks amazing! Reviewers on Yelp! rave not only about the burgers, but also the fries and shakes. Definitely a must-visit spot when you're visiting the Lakeshore. (Or... take a special trip; who am I to judge?)

West Michigan's Favorite Burger Spot 2026 - Runner-Up

We would be remiss if we didn't also mention the runner-up for this year. Community Restaurant in Zeeland fought hard and brought in nearly 4,000 votes.
