Is Governor Gretchen Whitmer a Secret Swiftie?

She's never going out of style as the Governor of Michigan if she keeps her meme game going this strong. On Wednesday, January 24th, dropped a Taylor Swift themed post on her instagram account teasing her State of The State of Michigan address that was scheduled to happen later in the day.

The faux 1989 (Taylor's Version) album features a bunch of song titles that are a play on word of Swift's songs. Many of them that themed around policies and ideas the Governor planned to discuss that evening.

As you can see, a lot of the song titles have (Gretchen's Version) next to them, nodding to the re-recorded albums from Taylor Swift that are titled (Taylor's Version)

My personal favorites include Wolverine Dreams, Bad Blood In Ohio, and Shake It Off (Lake Effect Snow Edition)

And it wasn't the only time that Big Gretch has dropped a Taylor reference... back when the performer made her way to Michigan as a part of her Eras tour, Gov. Whitmer posted a video welcoming her to the mitten state. (She also mentioned that we're in our Fearless Era)

Although you could argue it's just a way to try to get the coveted Swiftie vote because when she dropped her official playlist for the 2024 State of the State she didn't include a single Taylor song...

Either way, we appreciate the Governor having a little fun with us when it comes to Taylor.
