The West Michigan Whitecaps Are Teasing Wild New Ballpark Food

There is something about the first hint of baseball season in West Michigan that just feels hopeful.

Maybe it is the thought of warmer nights, maybe It’s packing away the heavy coats, or just maybe it’s knowing that in no time we will all be back at LMCU Ballpark, cheering on the West Michigan Whitecaps with a hot dog in one hand and a drink in the other.

Because let’s be honest. Baseball is great for the entire experience. But ballpark food? In my opinion, that’s the best part.

Yesterday, I was invited to the GFS test kitchen in Wyoming to sample some of the potential new food items that Whitecaps fans might see on the menu at LMCU Ballpark this year. And when I say they are not playing around, I mean it.

From a rich over-the-top Dubai Chocolate creation, to what I can only describe as life a changing Pizza Roll, it was clear the team is leaning into fun, creative, crave-worthy food for gamedays in 2026. Some of it was indulgent. Some of it was nostalgic. All of it felt like it belonged right at the ballpark on a perfect summer night in Comstock Park.
