But did you know that Oberon was not the original name of the iconic beer?
The Interesting Story About How Oberon Got It's Iconic Name
In 1992, the beer now known as Oberon was first introduced under the name Solsun.
A few years later, in 1996, Bell's Brewery changed the name from Solsun to Oberon due to a legal issue with the Mexican brewing company Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma, which produced a beer called El Sol ("The Sun")
I was able to find a few things on eBay that had the original name on it including this poster.

I don't care what the name of this delicious beer is; I just know I look forward to drinking a couple of pints every year when it becomes available.
