Grand Rapids Wants More Firefighters, and You Could Be the Next One
If you were to ask a young kid, "what do you wanna be when you grow up?" One of the most popular answers would be a firefighter.

Well now that day has arrived and you could really become a Grand Rapids Fire Fighter.
The Grand Rapids Fire Department announced that they are looking to hire new firefighters.
Grand Rapids Fire Department Recruitment Open Houses
Starting on March 1st, and going through May 31st, they will be taking applications.
The GRFD is hosting a series of recruitment open houses at East Leonard Elementary School to help candidates prepare.
These sessions will go over things such as the hiring process, interview guidance, and you can even try out some of the department’s physical agility course.
GRFD Chief Brad Brown shared why now is the time to join the team:
“Being a firefighter is more than a job, it’s a calling to serve and protect our family, friends and neighbors, We’re looking for individuals who are ready to make a difference, embrace teamwork and take on one of the most rewarding careers out there. If you’ve ever thought about joining the fire service, now is the time."
