Local Veteran Among The Victims Of Grand Blanc Church Shooting
On Sunday, September 28th, hundreds of people came together to worship inside the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township.

Then, around 10:25 a.m., Thomas Jacob Sanford, a 40-year-old man from Burton, drove his pick-up truck into the church and started shooting at people.
He then poured gasoline on the church and set it on fire.
Firefighters tried their best to extinguish the flames, but when the smoke cleared, the church was a total loss, and four people were killed, and another eight were wounded and taken to the hospital.
Today, we have learned the name of one of the victims.
