114-Year-Old Michigan Woman Credits Her Long Life to a Very Surprising Food
I love seeing news stories where people that have lived a very long life share what they did to make it that far.

The reasons they give are never eating all of their vegetables, or working out three times a week, instead they swear it's because of things like drinking a beer every day or something that is deemed really unhealthy.
Recently, Michigan's oldest resident shared what she credits to her longevity and I bet you've never heard someone credit this food item.
114 Year Old Michigan Woman Credits Her Longevity To Idaho Potatoes
Bonita Gibson lives in Canton, Michigan, and is believed to be Michigan's oldest resident.
She credits her many years on earth to her favorite food, Potatoes.
Erin McGraw, Life Enrichment Specialist at Waltonwood Carriage Park, in Canton shared with Channel 7 that Bonita and her husband grew Idaho potatoes for around 35 years in Idaho Falls.
Her love for those starchy vegetables continues to this day.
"If she has a burger, she has to have French fries. Up until 109, she was still cooking them in her apartment. Never would I go into her apartment without that fridge bottom drawer full of Idaho potatoes."

Bonita got an amazing surprise this week when a giant 72-foot Big Idaho Potato visited her senior living community.
The giant potato on wheels made a special stop just to visit Bonita as they travel across the country doing different promotions.
The Idaho Potato Company also gave Bonita some special gifts from Idaho.
