If you like rubbin' and racin' then your NASCAR experience in Michigan may get even better.

According to FOX 17, $2 billion is how much NASCAR is spending to purchase International Speedway.

International Speedway Corporation is the proud owner of some of America's most famous race tracks in NASCAR, like the Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

International Speedway also owns Chicagoland Speedway and Michigan International Speedway.

The deal between the two companies should be finalized by the end of the year which make could make race season for 2020 even more exciting in the region.

NASCAR as of late last year has been acquiring the remaining public stock in International Speedway. I.S. owns a majority of the sanctioned tracks that are currently in NASCAR. The company has already begun laying off several long time employees that go all the way back to the original ownership.
