When people play video games today, it's usually some sort of online multiplayer.

I am pretty guilty of this too, it's really easy to play online video games today! Just click and boom, you're online!

However, this weekend I was reminded of just how fun plugging 4 original Xbox's together to play Halo: Combat Evolved is.

It was at a friend of mine's bachelor party. No, we didn't hit the stereotypical strip club or anything. We just had a keg and a ton of video games, specifically 4 TV's, 4 Xbox (original), and 4 copies of Halo 1 and 2, and I had a blast.

These days in my age (which is 28), it's hard getting everyone in the same place to play video games. Most of us are getting married, having kids, 3rd shift job, etc. But for a moment a couple days ago, we had 2 people per TV playing a game of Halo: Combat Evolved, so eight in total, and it was a lot of fun.

I think sometimes we get a little too caught up in the online gaming and forget what video game playing is all about, which is a bunch of friends coming together and playing a game. Online gaming is great and makes things very convenient, but nothing beats a bunch of your friends scrunching together to play a video game in the same room and actually hanging out together.
