This one's a head scratcher... er, brain...

On February 14, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confiscated a human brain inside of a jar that was discovered at the Canada-U.S. border in Port Huron. According to a press release from the CBP, a Canadian mail truck had just crossed the Blue Water Bridge and was referred by officers to be inspected.

During this routine mail operation, a shipment manifested as an “Antique Teaching Specimen” was targeted for inspection.

That's when they discovered the jar with the brain inside of it. However, there was no paperwork or documentation to go along with it which makes it unlawful entry into the United States.

It's unknown what the brain was going to be used for but it was being delivered from Toronto to Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The CBP is currently working with the CDC in regards to the "specimen." The Port Director said in a statement

This is just another great example of just one of the many things CBP officers do to protect our nation on a daily basis.

The Blue Water Bridge spans the St. Clair River and connects Port Huron to Ontario.
