Hear Greta Van Fleets New Album First at Local Michigan Record Store

Michigan's own Greta Van Fleet is releasing their new album "Starcatcher" and you have a chance to hear it first at a local West Michigan record store.

Greta Van Fleet

Greta Van Fleet is from Frankenmuth, Michigan, and was formed in 2012 by the Kiszka brothers Josh on vocals, Jake on guitar, Sam on bass and keyboards, and drummer Danny Wagner.

It wasn't too long after the release of the EP Black Smoke Rising that Greta Van Fleet took off like gangbusters and became the most talked about band in 2017.

From that first guitar riff from Jake and that first scream from Josh on their first single "Highway Tune" it wasn't long at all before Greta Van Fleet became a household name.

After the second EP, "From the Fires" which included "Safari Song", it wasn't long before Greta Van Fleet started making their rounds of the late-night television circuit.

Greta Van Fleet went on to release their first full-length studio album, "Anthem of the Peaceful Army" with produced the track "When the Curtain Falls." Then in 2021, the band released their second full-length album, "The Battle at Garden's Gate" which catapulted the band into headlining stadiums.

Greta Van Fleet's New Album "Starcatcher"

Greta Van Fleet wants you to be able to hear their new album "Starcatcher" before it comes out this Friday, July 21. Greta is throwing listening parties at nearly 200 participating record stores across the country and one of those stores happens to be right here in West Michigan.

You've already heard Meeting the Master and if you have been listening to GRD then you have also heard the new one from Startcatcher, "The Falling Sky."

Now you have a chance to hear the rest of Starcatcher this Wednesday, July 19, at Green Light Music at 4717 W. KL Avenue Suite B, Kalamazoo at 4 pm.

The event is free and open to the public but you may want to check in with Green Light Music on how to RSVP for the early listening party. There are going to be exclusive giveaways that include a limited number of Greta Van Fleet Starcather posters and slip mats. You can even pre-order Starcatcher at your local indie store in "White Glitter" vinyl or Clear vinyl and CD.
