Hazy weather conditions will bring beautiful sunsets to the coast this week, as wildfire smoke makes its way east.

Smoke from western wildfires in Northern California has made its way into the jet stream, bringing hazy conditions to West Michigan.

I swear Saturday night I could smell smoke, but that may have been the residual effect of the fireworks displays as the ne'er-do-wells in my neighborhood have begun ramping up for Labor Day weekend.

The result will be beautiful sunrises in sunsets, especially along the coast, where the smoke will be more visible.

The rising humidity will also trap the smoke in the air, making the air even tougher to breathe. Relief from the heat is on the way early next week, with more moderate tmpes in the forecast.
