During times like this, it's so awesome seeing the community support one another.

The Grand Rapids Public Museum may be closed but they're still working to help those in need. The museum donated 4,000 gloves along with face shields and Tyvek suits to Spectrum Health.

This comes a couple of days after the science program at GVSU donated 90,000 gloves to Spectrum (via WZZM).

Something to note, you don't need to be a business or charity to donate these types of essentials. Several hospitals and health care facilities in West Michigan are accepting donations from the community; that way workers can do their jobs and keep everyone safe.

Just SOME of the items you can donate include gloves, surgical masks, goggles, swabs, hand sanitizers, bleach wipes, thermometers, and isolation gowns. Of course, monetary donations are always an option as well.

You can contact the facilities directly, go to their website, or follow them on social media for more info on how you can help as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
