Grand Rapids Homeless Missions Extend Hours During Cold Weather

Extreme cold has hit West Michigan. Monday night will get down to 6 degrees, but it will feel like -6.

Area missions are extending day center hours and making accommodations to handle more people as a way to keep area homeless out of the deadly cold.

Degage Ministries

• 144 South Division
• Day Center is open from 7 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and then again from 2-7:30 p.m.

Mel Trotter Ministries

• 225 Commerce Avenue
• Warming Center is open from 7a.m.-4 p.m.
• Overnight Emergency Shelter is open from 4p.m.-7 a.m.
