You know the feeling, the immediate dread after hitting send on an email you wish you could take back.

It could be a dickish reply you sent in the heat of the moment and now want to retract, or an email to your office buddy Joe, complaining about what a douche your boss is... that you accidentally sent to your boss instead. Or "sexy" pics you meant to send to your lady that ended up going to the other Jennifer in your contacts- your sister. Yikes.

Well, now Gmail has a feature that let's you "Undo Send".

According to Mashable, the feature spent six years in public beta, being tested.

Finally, Google announced this week that "Undo Send" is now an official setting that allows you to cancel sent mail if you have second thoughts immediately after sending.

If you already have the feature enabled via Gmail Labs, it will remain on. For users who want to add the "Undo Send", you can turn it on using the General tab under Settings.

You can choose if you want your outgoing messages held for 5, 10, or 30 seconds, giving you time to review your email (or photos... save your poor sister!) before it heads out to the world.
