Helmets have saved many lives, but never like this before!

A U.S. Marines Corps unit encountered a sniper in Afghanistan, and what happened was breathtaking.

One of the Marines took a bullet to the head. However, thanks to the Kevlar in his helmet, he survived, The Daily Mail reported.

So, the next time someone tells you to wear your helmet, you better do it because you never know when this could happen to you.

Well, unless you're not in Afghanistan; then you're probably fine.
