This seems like the worst thing ever.

Try and put yourself in this situation. You're all up to date on your house payment. In fact, your house is paid off. You owe NOTHING to the bank.

Pretty great feeling, right? Hell yeah!

Now, imagine going to that house to find that the bank has foreclosed on it and taken all of your stuff.

But, wait, the house was paid off, right? Yup.

Some how, things got really screwed up for a New Mexico family, KOB Eyewitness News 4 reported.

Despite the family's vacation home in San Geronimo, Nev., being paid off for more than a century, Bank of America foreclosed on the property and turned it over to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The federal government then hired Sigma Services to come in and clean the place out and take all the remaining possessions to a landfill, KOB-TV reported.

More than a century of memories are now gone.

Because of that, the family has to go through the hassle of suing to make things right. Ain't that some s**t?
