For the first time in as long as I can remember, fans seem to really like a Detroit Lions head coach.

The whole country got a look at the Detroit Lions and head coach, Dan Campbell, during the HBO series last summer called Hard Knocks. If you are unfamiliar with the show, cameras follow an NFL team and their coaches around at training all summer so fans get a behind-the-scenes look at a team, and last year the show featured the Detroit Lions.

Between Hard Knocks, press conferences, and those talks Campbell had with the players in the locker room, it's easy to see how fans gravitated toward Lion's head coach.

Free Beer has said on the show several times professing his man crush on Lions head coach Dan Campbell. Campbell recently appeared on the NFL network while visiting the 2023 Combine and analyst Rich Eisen ask him about his thoughts on Aidan Hutchinson at last year's Combine. Campbell responded with, "I had a man crush on him."
