Dave Batista has announced that he will be making his MMA debut for CES MMA on October 6th against Rashid Evans at the Dunkin Donuts Theatre in Providence, Rhode Island.

Rashid Evans has a pro MMA record of 3-1 and is not to be confused with former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Rashad Evans.

While in WWE, Bastista was a 6-time World Champion, winning the World Heavyweight Championship 4 times and the WWE Championship twice.  He was also a World Tag Team Champion 3 times (twice with Ric Flair and once with John Cena) and a WWE Tag Team Champion with Rey Mysterio.  He also won the 2005 Royal Rumble match.

At 43-years-old, I can't figure out why Batista would want to start an MMA career at the very bottom when he could still be a big draw in the world of pro wrestling, but I wish him the best of luck.
