EarthCam Catches Bear Destroying Northern Michigan Snowman
Springtime in northern Michigan means black bears are waking up from hibernation and are "Hangry." An "EarthCam" caught a bear taking out his frustration on a snowman.
Springtime Michigan Black Bears
It's springtime, and Michigan black bears are back on the move. It's a good idea if you live in bear country that you keep anything they might eat inside the house or garage, or you may have some unexpected visitors.

You may like watching those spring birds enjoy the feeder you put out back, but if a black bear finds it, you will probably need to replace it after they empty it. You can try putting it out midday and removing it before sunset, but if a bear finds it, he or she will be back for seconds.
Bears can be pretty crafty when it comes to opening up a bird feeder, a trash can, and sometimes a door to a vehicle or house when they smell something good to eat inside. Sometimes, bears will be bears.

Black Bear Destroys Northern Michigan Snowman
A black bear, a porcupine, a raccoon, and a snowman walk into a bar in northern Michigan. Sounds like the beginning of a Yooper joke, but three of the four could happen in the spring.
EarthCam provides live-streaming webcams, and one was set up in Gaylord, Michigan, called the Michigan Snowman Cam. It was aimed at a fake snowman that was by a table filled with corn.
A black bear came to the table and pulled it down, along with a porcupine and a snowman.
After the black bear chased off the porcupine, it took the time to enjoy a nice meal of corn.

After the black bear filled up on the corn, a raccoon stopped by to finish all the leftovers, and the snowman that EarthCam was live streaming was destroyed in the process. You can see the whole thing go down on video by clicking here on the EarthCam Facebook page.
