After a deadly head on collision in Montcalm County, the suspect who was driving one of the vehicles that fled the scene is now in custoday.

According to FOX 17 and the Michigan State Police say that the suspect was heading north on Federal Road in Reynolds Township when he hit another vehicle head on just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

The suspect left the scene after his vehicle killed 20-year-old Max Clay Szynkowski. Apparently the suspect crossed the center line hitting Szynkowski's vehicle head on at the intersection of Federal Road and Yankee Road.

When the suspect fled the scene, he left his passenger in the car when he ran off on foot.

State Police found the suspect later in Morley. Police have not released the suspects name as he is residing in the Montcalm County Jail pending his arraignment.
