
Step Into Da Vinci’s Mind at New Michigan Exhibit
The amazing mind and artwork of Leonardo da Vinci will be on display in two locations in Michigan. Both exhibitions will feature full-scale working recreations of his inventions.
Da Vinci is not just an incredible artist; he also created several designs featuring futuristic concepts of a helicopter, flying machines, and an armored fighting vehicle that served as a precursor to the modern tank.

Leonardo da Vinci has created some of the most recognizable artwork in the world with the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Salvator Mundi, Vitruvian Man, the Virgin of the Rocks and more.
Vinci was not just a painter, he was a draftsman, engineer, scientist, theorist, sculptor, and architect. Although he is most known for his paintings, his notebooks are well known for his drawings and notes on a a variety of subjects, including anatomy, astronomy, botany, cartography, painting, and palaeontology.

Vinci was ahead of his time with his technological ingenuity. His concepts for flying machines, concentrated solar power, a ratio machine, and many more inventions most couldn't even be constructed during his lifetime.
Hands-On Da Vinci Exhibits Coming to Michigan
According to MLive, Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion is coming to the Michigan Science Center in Detroit from October 11 through January 2026. This exhibition features 40 of his inventions that have been recreated into full-scale working models, including his flying machines, helicopters, parachutes, armored tank, water pumps, and even a working robot.

Your second opportunity to experience Vinci's creations will be at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn from October 26 through May 3, 2026 when 'Da Vinci: The Exhibition' lands in Michigan.
