If you are looking to set your COVID-19 appointment, here is a complete guide for those in West Michigan.

Beginning in April, everyone in Michigan is eligible to get their COVID-19 vaccination but where do you start? There are lots of places where you can sign up but it is important to get registered sooner than later. In order to get things back to normal, the quicker we all get vaccinated the better.

According to MLive, so far about 25% of Michigan adults age 16 and older have gotten at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and around 14% of Michiganders are fully immunized.

Right now those who qualify for the vaccine are those 65 and older, those 50 to 64 and all these include people with a disability, a medical problem that make them more susceptible to catching the virus, caregivers and any special needs children.

You can also utilize area hospitals, your health department and Meijer who all have waitlists for you to get your name on. Pharmacies are still your best bet.

There is a mass vaccination clinic that will be at Ford Field in Detroit that will get 8,000 people vaccinated and that will be starting March 24 from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. They will be vaccinated Michiganders seven days a week until mid-May.

To register for the Ford Field vaccination clinic, here are three the options: one being at meijer.com/register/CL2021, two by texting EndCOVID to 75049 and third by calling 888.535.6136 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pretty much every vaccination provider that is operating in Michigan, you have to pre-register for an appointment. It doesn't hurt to register at multiple locations. Just remember that once you get vaccinated then another place you registered reaches out, just inform them that you have had your shot so they can give your appointment to someone else.
