Couple Knocks Themselves Out Attempting The Famous ‘Lift’ From ‘Dirty Dancing’

Most bad ideas that end in personal injury usually start with inebriation. This story is no exception! 

This young, fit couple who loved the 1987 film Dirty Dancing, thought it would be feasible to recreate the iconic scene where Patrick Swayze lifts actress Jennifer Grey up over his head and holds her there. Of course, this requires strength, agility and being light, but couple Sharon Price and fiance Andy Price knew what it would take, right? Nope! These naïve hopefuls are actually in their 50’s and not exactly at the top of their physical game.

While we respect their effort and intention, we can’t help but enjoy the fact that while practicing the run and jump, they both blacked out and had to be taken to the hospital. Enjoy!
