Last week, Governor Whitmer announced that masks must be worn in public but under the order, no one will be subject to criminal penalty for going without a mask.

But, some businesses are starting to enact their own policies regarding masks, and Costco announced that they are one of them.  In addition to going back to their normal business hours, Costco will also now require masks to be worn when inside the store starting Monday, May 4th.

But don't worry if you have a condition that makes it so you can't wear a mask, USA Today is reporting that "The requirement does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to people who are unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition"

Some other stores in West Michigan are also requiring masks, like Menards (who will provide you with a mask for $1 if you don't have one.)  Other stores are asking that you wear a mask, but aren't enforcing it.  You can see a brief list here.
