While they were forced to cancel much of the 2020-21 season, the Grand Rapids Civic Theater does have some exciting news about things to come.

The Civic is planning some drive-in shows that will take place in the DeltaPlex parking lot at Turner and West River Drive.

In a Facebook post posted Tuesday morning, the Civic announced plans for two family oriented drive-in productions:

"Dracula", which will run October 23,24 and 25th and October 30,31 and November 1 with two showings at 6:30 and 8:30pm.

and "A Christmas Carol", the classic Dickens Holiday tale, which will run at the DeltaPlex on dates to be determined in late November and early December (weather permitting).

The Civic also announced a streaming production of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" coming later this month.
