A new place to grab a bite has opened inside Oakestown Brewing in Grandville.

Oakestown Brewing first opened on Chicago Drive in 2023 and had been hosting Crust 54, the popular pizza spot, in its kitchen.

Earlier this year, Crust 54 owner Matt Klaus announced the Grandville location would close. He explained that the decision was not due to sales or demand but to focus on his other businesses and spend more time with his family. Crust 54 fans can still enjoy their pies at the downtown Holland location.

The good news is Oakestown Brewing visitors will still have plenty to eat. A chef-driven sandwich shop called Chuck N’ Monkey’s has moved in and is ready to serve up a menu full of creative, seriously tasty handhelds.

Oakestown owners are excited about the new addition. They say the restaurant brings a thoughtfully crafted menu to the taproom, perfect for pairing with a favorite pint. Guests can stop in for the soup of the day or try one of the signature sandwiches.

Chuck N’ Monkey’s is led by local chef Cody Clements and officially opened last week at 4051 Chicago Drive. The menu features a mix of unique and classic sandwiches, including pastrami, Korean sloppy joe, fried beef bologna, crispy pork shoulder, and eggplant options. Here's a look at the chicken cutlet Caesar, which comes with romaine, roasted garlic grapes, Caesar dressing, tomato jam, and crispy chicken on a hoagie.

Sides include waffle fries, sweet and spicy slaw, and a rotating daily soup. The new restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 8:30 p.m. It is closed on Monday. and Tuesday.
