What 2 West Michigan Cities Have The Lowest Gas Prices?

Gas prices have been dropping all across Michigan recently, there are two areas in West Michigan that have the cheapest gas around.

Michigan Gas Prices Dropping

If you have been out doing your Christmas shopping or your normal commute to and from work, you may have noticed the prices at the pump have been going down.

I recently bought regular gas for my car for $3.18 per gallon and that was pretty great, but I have to tell you I was even more thrilled at buying gas on the way home from Christmas shopping last night for my diesel truck and paid $3.79 per gallon. I have not paid under $4 a gallon since I owned this truck.

Cheapest Gas In West Michigan

No the gas in West Michigan is not under $2 like in the photo above but after paying over $5 per gallon of gas, getting under $3 per gallon is huge. Yes, I said under $3 per gallon. Cheap gas and the Detroit Lions winning games regularly are two things Michiganders have not experienced in a while.

I did some digging on the "GasBuddy" website and there are two places where gas is the cheapest. One is the Admiral gas station on Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale where gas is $2.59 per gallon for regular. I can remember when that was expensive back in the day but right now it has me smiling like I hit the jackpot.

The other West Michigan city that has the cheapest gas is Cooperstown where the CITGO on West Randall Street has regular gas for $2.63 per gallon. It's like a Christmas miracle.

Both Allendale and Coopersville are dominating the area with the lowest gas prices. Although, the folks in Greenville aren't doing too bad either at the Murphy USA on West Carson City Road has regular gas that is $2.69 per gallon.

Cheapest Diesel Gas in West Michigan

If you are a trucker or just drive a diesel vehicle Rockford is the hotspot for the lowest diesel fuel. I got lucky last night at the Meijer in Rockford where it was $3.79 per gallon but it went up there today. The CITGO ion Belding Road NE has diesel for $3.89 per gallon.

If you live further north you are in luck if you are by Sparta because the All American North Country Store has diesel gas for $3.99 per gallon. You can here for other cheaper diesel locations.
