Warmer temperatures last month caused the ski park in Belmont to halt snow production and close the slopes. The return of wintry weather has Cannonsburg celebrating:

Park build in progress. We’re opening FRIDAY at 4pm for skiing and riding. Sat & Sun will be 9am-9pm and tubing will open at 10am!

Weather permitting, here are Cannonsburg Ski Area's hours for the next week:

  • Friday (Jan. 7th): 4pm-9pm *ski & ride only
  • Saturday: 9am-9pm
  • Sunday: 9am-9pm
  • Monday: 12pm-9pm
  • Tuesday: 12pm-9pm
  • Wednesday: 12pm-9pm
  • Thursday: 12pm-9pm
  • Friday (Jan. 14th): 12pm-9pm
  • Saturday: 9am-9pm
  • Sunday: 9am-9pm

If you're planning to tube out at Cannonsburg, reservations needs to made online.

To slow the spread of COVID-19, Cannonsburg asks that guests wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status and maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance from others at all times. Anyone who is sick is asked to stay home. You can find out more about Cannonsburg's COVID-19 guidelines here.

If you're looking for more fun winter activities, the Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation department is also gearing up for winter activities this weekend, including free sled rentals at two City parks with sledding hills, as well as groomed trails for snowshoeing, cross country skiing and fat tire biking at Indian Trails Golf Course.
