Michigan: Deer Gets Tangled Up In A Hammock
Hunters may want to hang up their bows and relax in a hammock. See video of a buck tangled up in a hammock hanging in a Michigan backyard.
I have never owned a hammock, but I have lain back in a couple; they're quite comfortable. The deer likely wasn’t trying to take a break from foraging for acorns, but did get a surprise when its rack tangled in the hammock.
Deer Do The Darndest Things
Who says a deer doesn't like a good golf game? Deer are everywhere in Michigan, and can show up just about anywhere, even in a downtown city. One time in downtown Flint, Michigan, a deer broke through a bank window when it saw its reflection, and ran through the bank, causing chaos before jumping back out the window to leave the city.
Deer have been known to get tangled up in tire swings and all types of fencing. Two years ago, in Lansing, a deer had to be rescued with a Halloween bucket on its head.

Bucks have been known to get their antlers caught in clotheslines, soccer nets, garden trellises, wire tomato cages, buckets, jars, and all sorts of objects while searching for food or their next girlfriend.
Deer In A Bind: Michigan Hammock Rescue
Did I mention that deer sometimes get tangled in a hammock? Ironically, one just did in Macomb County, on the opening day of archery season.
According to WDIV Local 4, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office was called to a home in Harrison Township, where a buck got its rack tangled in a backyard hammock. An MCSO sergeant and a deputy were able to cut the ropes of the hammock, and the deer was able to run back into the woods, startled but not injured. See how it all went down from the body camera footage below.
