Pets can be seriously funny. Just go online. Every other video is cats squeezing into too tiny boxes, talking dogs, fainting goats, and birds with mad dance skills.

We love our animals! That's why it's great that they can share in the fun of  Gilda's LaughFest at the People and Pets event.

People and Pets is March 8 at the Grand Rapids Community College Ford Field House at 12 p.m.

All pets are welcome! And it's free!

There will be pet look alike, best trick, and costume contests. Get your picture taken with your furry (or not furry) friend in a photo booth, win awesome prizes, and more!

Check out this video from last year's People and Pets event and find out more at Laughfest.org.

Gilda's LaughFest 2015 runs March 5 to15 and will include more than 200 free and ticketed shows featuring over 100 artists at more than 40 venues in Grand Rapids, Lowell and Holland during the 10 days of the festival.

Individual tickets are priced from $7 to $70, excluding the Signature Event. All shows are on-sale now, and tickets can be purchased at the Van Andel Arena Box Office, Ticketmaster.com, any Ticketmaster outlet, or LaughFest Central through the closing day of LaughFest.

Gilda’s LaughFest was created by a team at Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids in 2011. Since inception, LaughFest has averaged 55,000 attendees per year. Proceeds from the festival will go to support the free cancer, grief and emotional health programs offered through Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.
