Shinedown’s Brent Smith and Zach Myers Cover The Clash [Video]

Shinedown vocalist Brent Smith and guitarist Zach Myers will offer up an acoustic EP of cover songs on Jan. 28.

The duo, known simply as Smith & Myers, will digitally release the "Acoustic Sessions EP," which includes covers of "London Calling," by The Clash; Otis Redding's "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay;" Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters;" "She Talks to Angels," by The Black Crowes; Soul Asylum's "Runaway Train;" and Kenny Wayne Shepherd's "Blue on Black."

The songs were picked by fans and the project was originally meant to be a full-length album, but Smith & Myers could not get clearance to use Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive," Pearl Jam's "Black," Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" or Adele's "Someone Like You."
