A body has been recovered from the Grand River Saturday morning.

MLive reports that walkers near the Fulton Street bridge spotted what they thought to be a body around 7a.m.

Authorities investigated and confirmed the finding. Firefighters later pulled the body from the river.

According to MLive this is the same general area in which witnesses reported a man disappearing into the river April 9; it has not been confirmed if the incidents are related.

In regard to the April 9 incident, MLive reported:

According to a Facebook post from the Grand Rapids Fire Department, personnel were unable to locate the victim.
