West Michigan Vineyard in the Running for Best Winery Tour in the Country

With its rich, fertile soil and great farming conditions, Michigan is prime for the wine industry. One Mitten State winery is being praised for its exceptional tours.

"What's the Best Winery Tour in the U.S.?" is the subject of a new USA Today and 10Best Readers' poll.

A panel of experts nominated 20 top winery tours across the country, and now it's up to a public vote.

Their pick for the top winery tour in Michigan is Fenn Valley Vineyards.

The longtime, family-owned Fenn Valley Estate is located on 240 acres at 6130 122nd Ave. in Fennville. In operation since 1973, the owner's say their goal has always  been to produce world-class wines from grapes grown along the shore of Lake Michigan.

Guests are invited to take part in 2-hour long educational and entertaining tours. You'll get to explore the vineyards and the wine cellar, tasting as you go.

On site there is a tasting room, and also special events held throughout the year like a chili cook off, sWine Roast, Sip and Shop Artisan and Craft Market, and the Fenn Valley Wine Festival.
