The Swedish Viking horde  will make a triumphant return to North America in September

Opening the shows will be fellow Swedes Sabaton and the American band Skeletonwitch.

The trek launches Sept. 25 in Riverside, Calif.

The Oct. 18 New York show will be a special one. Amon Amarth will be breaking out their Viking ship stage, which Los Angeles fans experienced earlier this year.

In addition, Vallenfyre will be playing the New York show instead of Skeletonwitch. The super group's lineup includes Gregor Mackintosh and Adrian Erlandsson from Paradise Lost and Hamish Hamilton Glenncross from My Dying Bride.

The tour includes a Halloween night concert in Michigan at Royal Oak Theatre in Royal Oak.

The band said, in a statement: "Yes, we are coming back to North America, and this time we're doing Canada and the U.S. together with our friends in Sabaton and Skeletonwitch! We can also announce that we'll be bring the Viking ship to the show in New York City! So get ready North America, this time we'll take no prisoners!"

Amon Amarth's latest studio album 'Deceiver of the Gods,' was released in June of 2013. It made the top 10 in several European countries, and debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 album chart, making it the band's highest-charting U.S. album to date.
