Michigan, Throw Out Your Cheese. Massive Recall Announced
One of the easiest breakfasts you can have, especially if you're running out of the house, is a simple bagel with cream cheese (personally a blueberry cream cheese fan over here). However, if you have some in your fridge, you may want to consider tossing it after 28 states have announced recalls, and Michigan is among them.
Cream Cheese Recall
According to Newsweek, one of America's largest grocery chains Aldi has announced a recall of four different types of "soft cheese products", all of which are different kinds of cream cheese spreads. The grocer has advised anyone who has recently purchased any of the following cream cheese products to either toss it or return it to wherever they bought it to receive a refund because of a fear of potential salmonella contamination.
The four products recalled are:
- Whipped Cream Cheese Spread, with UPC 4099100101881
- Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread, with UPC 4099100101751
- Cream Cheese Spread, with UPC 4099100101737
- Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread, with UPC 4099100101744

Salmonella Infection
Salmonella is one of the most common forms of food poisoning since the Salmonella bacteria is always present in the guts of people and animals. People get sick when too much of that bacteria makes it past your stomach acid and enters your bloodstream.
If you've had any of the following symptoms, you may want to get checked for salmonella poisoning:
- Diarrhea
- Stomach pains or cramps
- Fever
- Nausea and Vomiting
- Headache
