A Bird Caused A Power Outage Thursday Morning Along 28th Street in Grand Rapids
Thursday morning around 10 am around 2,800 Consumers Energy customers on the southeast side of Grand Rapids lost their power, according to WOODTV.
The cause, a bird. The bird flew into a substation around the 28th street area and caused some damage, which knocked out power. Immediately a crew was assigned and started working to get power restored.
WOODTV says that as of 12:20 pm, crews were able to restore power to most customers and the original problem has been fixed.
