4 Marijuana Dispensaries Have Been Broken Into in Muskegon
4 Marijuana Dispensaries have been broken into in Muskegon while other dispensaries in Grand Rapids and Battle Creek have reported break-ins.
Dispensaries began selling recreational marijuana in the state of Michigan in 2019. It hasn't taken long for dispensaries to pop up in most every town in the state as well as all around West Michigan.
When people used to get marijuana before it was legal, the person looking, usually had a contact who would get it from someone else. Not to mention, the people they would usually get it from were criminals with guns so most people knew better than to try and steal their stash.
Now the bad guys know exactly where all the weed is and they also know there is a lot of cash on the premises because banks don't accept profits from marijuana sales. Which makes dispensaries a likely target for break-ins.

The suspects involved in the dispensary break-ins seem to be highly organized. They work in groups of four, steal a car from out of the area, wear gloves, and wear masks to hide their identities.

The suspects took lots of products as you can see in the picture above. $25,000 in cash was taken from one Muskegon dispensary.
WWMT reported other locations in Grand Rapids and Battle Creek have previously been hit with break-ins but those were not as organized as the break-ins in Muskegon.
If you have any additional information regarding these break-ins you are urged to contact the Muskegon Police Department at 231.724.6750.
