Collectors Rejoice: 1904 Cadillac Seeks New Owner

The Cadillac car brand was invented in 1902, and 123 years later it is still recognized as one of America's most elite vehicles. A restored Cadillac from 1904 is up for auction.

There are many luxury cars to choose from in America, but there is only one that everyone agrees is the country's finest, and that is the Cadillac. The Cadillac has evolved for over a century after the brand was purchased by General Motors in 1909, and continues to be a symbol of luxury to this day.

America's Luxury Car: The Cadillac

From its inception, Cadillac was focused on producing luxury vehicles, becoming a synonym for high-end American cars. The Cadillac brand is so strong, the name itself is used to describe other fine items such as the ‘Cadillac’ of guitars, or the "Cadillac" of dishwashers. Now that's a powerful brand.

Although I have never owned a Cadillac, I have ridden in a few and a few Cadillac SUVs, and have to admit those were some of the best rides of my life. My favorite Cadillac ride was when I got to drive a 1967 convertible that my brother-in-law drives at 'Back to the Bricks' in Flint. Even though it was a vintage Cadillac it drove great and made me feel special behind the wheel which is the whole point of a luxury vehicle.

Vintage Luxury: Bid On This 1904 Cadillac Classic

The Cadillac that is up for auction at RM Sotheby's is a 1904 Model B Touring. What makes this vintage Cadillac so special is it is a pre-General Motors Cadillac and there are not many still in existence, and in this kind of condition.

When this Cadillac was built, there was no other luxury car made in America that could touch its quality and luxury. If you are a collector or someone who has deep pockets, the car will go up for auction this Saturday with experts projecting it to sell for $160,000 to $185,000.
