West Michigan Crime Could See Rise In The Summer

It seems the criminals who are committing violent crimes are getting younger and younger in West Michigan. Back in early June, a 12-year-old held a store clerk at gunpoint at a Michigan gas station. The clerk ask if the kid was serious, then he fired the gun into the ceiling.

Car thefts have consistently been on the rise as gas prices rise and temperatures rise.

11-Year-Old Grand Rapids Boy Arrested For Attempted Carjacking And Assault

Fox 17 reported an 11-year-old boy from Grand Rapids and another boy attempted to carjack a woman in Wyoming on Woodward Avenue SW early Thursday morning. During the attempted carjacking the woman was assaulted by the two boys and taken to the hospital.

The Wyoming police managed to catch the 11-year-old boy but the other got away. The boy in custody is not talking to the police so it is making it difficult to locate the other boy.
