You Have To Hear Dave Chappelle Talk About George Floyd & Police Brutality During Comedy Special
Dave Chappelle is well known for his comedy but he's also known for confronting issues head on. The way Chappelle talks about George Floyd in his comedy special is so spot on, you have to hear it.
If you've been living under a rock and don't know about what happened to George Floyd, here it is: On May 25, 2020, Mr. Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, Minn. A police officer named Derek Chauvin, kneeled on his kneck for exactly eight minutes and fourty-six seconds while George Floyd repeated notified him that he was unable to breath and was under distress. Mr. Floyd went motionless, as officer Chauvin continued kneeling on his kneck. Mr. Floyd died there at the scene.
In the aftermath (and after video of the murder was released) all four officers that were present have been charged with various crimes. Derek Chauvin has been charged with second-degree murder, while the other three officers have been charged as accessories to second-degree murder.
Since George Floyd's death, millions of people around the country have participated in protests and marches calling for police reform, and in some cases to defund the police entirely.
