It's Good to do Things as a Couple
Many couples like to do things together like jogging, biking, hiking, and other outdoor events.
Some couples like to strength train together, run 5k's, or compete in obstacle contests.
Some couples like to enjoy an ice-cold beer or two or three. No matter what category you fall in with your significant other, it's great that couples do things together. Are you and your significant other looking to do something new and exciting together that involves you two working together and beer?

Win Your Wife's Weight in Beer at Wife Carrying Championship
Do you ever carry your wife around on your back for fun? What if I told you that you could win her weight in beer by carrying her around in a competition?
You still have time to enter the U.P. Wife Carrying Championship. The competition involves a 278-yard obstacle course that will take you through a sand hill, over hurdles, and through a water mud pit and the couple to do it the faster will score their wife's weight in beer. The winning couple will move on to the North American Championship at Sunday River.
You have to be at least 21 years of age or older to enter the competition and you can carry your wife however you want but most use what they call the "Estonian Carry" seen in the picture above. Even though the name is "Wife Carrying Championship" it is open to non-married couples and couples regardless of their gender identity.
Stuffed animals on your back won't cut it but feel free to get creative with what you and your significant other wear. The Wife Carrying Championship will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Marquette Mountain. The race kicks off at 1 p.m. with a registration fee of $50. Spectators are allowed at the event free of charge. To sign up for the event and get more details click here.
