Will Detroit's Renaissance Center Turn Into Appartments?
The Renaissance Center is the most iconic building structure ever built in Detroit. RenCen was completed in 1977 consisting of seven skyscrapers that are connected. The center tower is the tallest building in Michigan.
RenCen is one of the largest commercial buildings in the world and with General Motors leaving, this leaves a huge vacancy in the complex.
According to WXYZ, the future of the Renaissance Center will be figured out over the next year. GM and the city of Detroit are working together to find a solution for the building. It could be rented out to another corporation or turned into residential apartments.
