Why Does West Michigan Dislike 28th Street So Much?
Most towns have an area or street people do not like. In West Michigan, the dislike of 28th Street is so strong that raunchy bumper stickers have been created.
28th Street Near Grand Rapids
I spend some time on 28th Street near Grand Rapids. 28th Street primarily travels through the cities of Wyoming and Kentwood.
28th Street is well known for its high concentration of shopping and dining options. I do some shopping in the area during the holidays and usually hit a restaurant or two from time to time. One thing I've noticed is traffic can get backed up just about any day of the year but it wasn't nothing to make me go and buy a bumper sticker that says "F_ _ _ 28th Street."

Why Does West Michigan Dislike 28th Street So Much?
Just before I went on my bear-hunting trip to the Upper Peninsula I picked up a load of donuts near 28th Street and while I was there I saw a couple of vehicles with bumper stickers that said, "F_ _ _ 28th Street" and wondered why someone would create a sticker like that. I found a thread on the Grand Rapids Reddit page that explains West Michigan's frustration with the street.
Reddit poster Kind-Masterpiece-310 pointed out "Have you been on 28th St?" A couple of posters on the thread mentioned where you could get one of the bumper stickers.
Poster "_lavender" said, "I hate feeling like I might die every time I have to turn left." I will admit making a left can be tough on 28th Street.
The poster at the bottom of this section of the thread, "peitsad", said, "I mean, 28th St sucks. I hate driving on it. That's the story."
Reddit poster "choicetomake" made me laugh when they said, "I wast a sticker that says 'I turn left on 28th without protection.'"
There is a lot more to this thread and maybe you would like to throw in your 2 cents which you can do right here.
