Wondering why a train would block 36th street right during rush hour?  Well, it wasn’t planned.

Wednesday, right during the 5’oclock rush home, a train owned by Grand Elk Railroad started crossing 36th street near Clay Ave, when it stalled – at the worst time – blocking traffic both directions on 36th St.

WOODTV says the train stalled because it was having mechanical issues and the engineers were unable to get it fixed, quickly. They eventually did, but not after making a bunch of people find a different way home.

I know this doesn’t really help you now if you were stuck in the traffic jam, but at least you know it wasn’t just to tick you off… it was a legit breakdown.
