Who Wants To Go Glamping In South Haven With Me?
If you’re wanting to get out this summer and experience some of #PUREMICHIGAN but you’re not quite a camping fan, you may want to try glamping in South Haven at a Blueberry farm.
I didn’t realize we had a glamping area this close to us, but the Detroit Free Press did a story about The Fields in South Haven which is a luxury camping spot. It’s situated in a working blueberry farm, but its less than 4 miles from Lake Michigan and as the Free Press story talks about, very relaxing.
The tents are luxury tents and have things like chandeliers, nice bathrooms with real beds, but again are tents out on a blueberry farm. A way to get away, without having to rough it.
From the Detroit Free Press about the tents:
Bathrooms en-suite — complete with sink, toilette, shower, plus high-end amenities and towels
Desk and seating area
Wood-burning stove, and small cooling units
Lamps and chandliers
King-size bed
The Free Press also says they have a chef that prepares the meals along with hiking and other activities that happen at the farm. And no, they don’t ask you to work there if you stay. I mean you can go pick berries if you want, but you don’t have to.
This sounds really cool and the story goes on to tell about the great food you can eat and other cool stuff you can do while staying there. The best part, kids are a LOT extra, so it looks like it’s mainly a quiet, adult glamping spot.
You can luxury camp from May 15th thru the last weekend in October. HERE'S their website.
