In fact, women make up nearly 40% of whiskey consumers, according to a recent study by MRI-Simmons. So the boys club of whiskey drinkers isn't quite as male dominated as we once believed.

And with this week being the anniversary of prohibition, it seems like a perfect time to celebrate women and their place at the bar.

This week you can head to the Margaux at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids to join in on their “Women Who Whiskey” series.
