What Is The Worst Town In The U.P. According to Yoopers?

We always hear how great Michigan's Upper Peninsula is and it is pretty great, but what is the worst town in the U.P. according to Yoopers?

What's a Yooper?

A Yooper is a native or resident who lives in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It is more of a nickname and many Yoopers are proud of it. It's better than the name Yoopers gave people who live in the Lower Peninsula...Trolls.

There is also a band called Da Yoopers that performs songs about the ways of the people in the Upper Peninsula.

Many refer to the Upper Peninsula as God's country. If you've been you can understand why. Like in any part of the country, there are what people consider to be the best and worst towns. Yoopers recently commented on what they thought was the worst place in the U.P.

Yoopers Comment on the Worst Town(s) in the Upper Peninsula

Recently on Michigan's Upper Peninsula Reddit page, the question was asked, "What do you think is the worst town in the U.P.?" I will have to ask my best friend about this since he's lived there for over 25 years but for now, let's find out what his neighbors has to say.

So far, the first few posters can't settle on one town.

The poster "yooperdude906" has me intrigued with Gwintuckey. There is something about that name.

The common thing in this thread so far is if a company that made the town thrive closed down, the community went downhill too.

The Yoopers don't seem to agree with any one town in the U.P. as being the worst but it looks like most don't like Escanaba around Christmas.  Maybe you can make more sense of this thread.
