The West Michigan Vaccine Clinic is seeking more volunteers. Any new sign-ups can potentially help starting next week.

More than 12,500 COVID vaccines were administered at the West Michigan clinic, and that number is excepted to be passed soon now that everyone 16 and older is allowed to sign up. To accommodate more vaccinations, the clinic needs additional help.

All volunteer spots needed are for non-clinical roles like helping with lines, wayfinding or simply handing out stickers. These volunteer positions are designed to keep the flow of people and vaccines moving.

Dr. Karla Black of the Kent County Health Department told Fox 17,

"The best part of all of it is you get to be a part of this excitement and see people just so happy to get their vaccine. I really think of it as probably one of the happiest places in West Michigan right now."

The West Michigan Vaccine Clinic is looking to add 600 volunteers. Once they have those new sign-ups through the system, they may be able to work on the floor of DeVos place as early as next week.
